A hands-on amigurumi workshop at Shakespeare’s New Place
Join the author of Hooked on Shakespeare, Gurinder Kaur Hatchard for a beginner’s introduction to the art of amigurumi, the Japanese knitting in the beautiful surroundings of Shakespeare’s New Place.
Gurinder, will teach you all the amigurumi crochet technique, and the materials you need to get working on your first project - a little bee!
On arrival you will receive a kit that you will use during the workshop, that includes a hook, yarn, stuffing, eyes, instructions, yarn needle, and crochet ring. The kit is yours to keep and take home, so any steps you don’t complete can be finished off at your leisure.
Following the work shop the New Place Shop will be open for book signings and browsing.
Our guided workshop take place between 2.30-4.30pm. All tools and materials will be provided, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions throughout session.
